Is200 Se Cd Player

Hiya!! is200 se v reg 99

I only yesterday had a problem occur where the cd player would not eject or play the disc's ...the message that comes up is "ERR3"

Is there a way of resolving this as i am new to this game..The car is no longer under warranty... does anyone know if this system has a "RESET" button which allows the unit to reinitialise?

Help would be appreciated

Unfortunately this is a common error. It supposedly means that a disc is jammed, or the system has problems with reading the disc.

This could be if you are using "copy" CD's - apparently they are thicker than standard CD's (this is what I was told by the Lexus dealer when I took mine in).

I think it is just a fault with the CD players in Lexus's, and you will probably have to buy a new one.

Sorry for the bad news. Maybe someone on this site has one for sale ?

Think this has been covered a million times. Run a search on the problem and find out what others members have done to resolve the situation.

There is an extended warrenty on the head units now. Check with a dealer - they may replace for free.

It was originally 3 years, but got extended to 5. Unless you have a sympathetic Lexus dealer, there is not much hope I'm afraid. :duh:

basically im screwed!!! it looks like my warranty (the extended one) expired last year in Nov however i only bought the car a few months ago ...

does any1 know if the models above 2000 v reg has the same problem as i might have to look to buy one of them??? any one selling one thats actually working? ha ha ha

Check fleabay mate, they come up all the time with peeps swapping them out

i had the same problem with my cd player. try disconecting the Battery for a while,this hopefully will reset the unit!

if not a recon costs about £260 so if i were you ide try eBay if you cant resolve the problem.....

i am having a problem with my car's CD player as well . on the screen keep shows me "err1" and the dealer cost me over 700 pounds to fix it. I was thinking to get one from eBay, but the problem is i have not find one to match the front 5 numbers, anyone can hope me please.

i have a v reg is200se having the same problem with cd player, i even manager to buy a 2nd hand with a serial no: only one digit a difference but the plugs don's match, thoroughly cheesed off, have a spare one for sale now if anyone interested serial no 86120-53041
