Anti Squeal Shims

Is it possible to purchase anti squeal shims for the brakes on an IS200?? I thought I remember Chris (The Don) talking about a set he bought a while back! Any ideas??

I'm sick of having to re-apply copper slip everytime i have a go at washing the wheels! :duh:

And there is also nothing worse than pulling up at a set of lights and the squeaking from the brakes out doing the noise from the supercharger!! :D

Cheers - Neil :)

My brakes come up with a nasty squeeek when I pull up as well - I thought they were on their way out.  I clean my wheels every week as well.

Is this a common thing then ?

It's a common thing on all brakes, can be easily cured by applying copper slip grease to the outside of the pads (DO NOT allow any grease to contact the inside of the pad or the disc rotor)

Thanks Mike...I shall ask around!

@ Lexaholic - Yep, copper slip as Mike said is the correct and best way to cure the squeaky brake problem...however, if you use a hose or jet wash on your wheels its possible that you might flush out or wash away some of the copper slip causing the squeaking to come back! Plus the copper slip will also need re-doing after time!
