Compatibility Mp3/wma Files In The Mm Dvdsystem

Recommended Posts

Hey guys and girls...

My first post here and I tried to search the forums for my question but couldn't find it in here, so here goes. (perhaps it's in there somewhere but I really couldn't find it)

Two weeks ago I got my IS250Sport, which for me as a 25 year old was euforic! I also got the Mark Levinson Multimedia system but the damn thing won't swallow my MP3/WMA DVD's. I tried +R and -R's on different burnmethods, but it just won't go. The CD-ROM's on the other hand, go without any fuss at all!

During the past years I build up a nice collection of MP3's (which are mostly from my original CD rack @ home) but in stead of taking 40 CD's in my car, I was rejoiced to find out the system could play MP3 DVD's.

No go here so far :crybaby:

Anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks in advance! :)

Lex

PS: Before you get the impression that I'm whining over the car... I'm not! This is the best thing I ever drove and I'm loving every kilometer in it!

Using 128kbps I usually get about 12-13 average music CDs onto 1 CD-R in .mp3 format. That gives me over 70 CDs worth of music in the 6-stacker.

Just one thing to note with Mp3. You really need a minium of 192kpbs to get even close to CD quality. Both audio systems in the Lexus are high quality- and at 128kpbs you will hear a distinct lower quality compared to 192kpbs.

I really noticed this with an old "copy" of an album I had downloaded at 128. It sounded awful in the Lexus on the standard system so I downloaded a new copy at 320. The difference was amazing. However 192 is sufficient

OK, I will try a few at 192. Thanks for the advice.
