hi people i have just joined up to this site very helpfull

i have a problem with my rs200

it seems to missfire/splutter if i take it over 2k rpm

i have put brand new plugs in it yesterday but it hasnt seemed to make a difference

i read somwwhere about the air flow needing cleaning

anyone know how to clean it and where it is

and any other ideas as of what may be causing the problem

i will get pics of the car up very soon, just need to get this problem fixed first

there is a way to cleant he maf will look at it for u

another thing to so is to reset the ecu

disconnect the Battery for 15 minutes

then revconnect start the car let it idle for 15 minutes the turn on the defroster let it run for 15 minutes and the turn on the ac and let it run for fifteen minutes

by the way did u just install an air filter

hi there no havent connected a air filter

i'll have a go at resetting the ecu

is the maf sensor under the airbox?

Yep the sensor is on the bottom side of the airbox, its held on with 2 screws. Heres an easier way to reset the ECU

Theres another link there on in the knowledge base that tells you how to clean the MAF sensor
