Ok I did a stupid thing today... the old 'Keys in the boot' trick, I had gone to pick my bro up as his car was in for a service and he'd asked me if I'd take him back to pick it up. Just prior to me taking him I removed an outside light for him. I got the drill out of the car and let the boot close, almost immediately I felt sick as the realisation of my stupidity hit me. :tomato:

Fortunately Bro was in the RAC and one phone call later and a 5 min wait and Mr RAC appeared, within 1 minute the door was open; A plastic wedge, a pump up bag and a piece of stiff wire and pop.

I thought Lexus were difficult to get into? he even told me where to get the gear he used.

The newest models are (you have 97P??) - Lexus really got their security act together around 2002. Before then, like most Asian cars physical security was pretty poor to be brutally honest. However at the end of the day if someone wants to be into your car, has the tools, time and opportunity they can do it no matter how good the security. Yours just has to be harder to break into than the one next to it and you should be fine :)
