Autowatch Alarm

Hello everyone, :)

Have bought a Mk 1 RX300 with an Autowatch alarm system - however I only have one keyfob for this and have ordered another. Here lies the problem because I have no documentation with it so do not know the PIN number required for new fob or how to obtain it exactly. Also there are no records of the car registered with Autowatch.

Any ideas welcome or I will have to get a new system installed.

You need to speak to either the previous owner or maybe the supplying dealer to see if you can find who fitted it. Without a certificate the Insurance won't accept it for discount or to comply with a requirement in the policy.

Thanks for the info Steve, looks like I will have to get another one installed just for the certificate to validate the insurance.

However I read somewhere else on these forums that its dodgy having any alarm fitted to an import where insurance is concerned.

Actually they are supposed to be one of the best CAT1 alarm/immob around according to the net.
