Vsc Light

I own a 2000 rx300.Today as I was driving the vehicle stabilisation control(vsc)light came on and has stayed on ever since.I looked in my owners manual and it says it is a problem with either the traction control or the brake assist but says it is safe to carry on driving.

Can anyone tell me if I will need to take the car into a lexus main dealer or do you think my local garage will be able to diagnose the problem.

Any decent garage with a OBD2 code reader can tell you what the fault is

My 2000 RX300 did exactly the same thing yesterday! Do you also have the malfunction symbol on the dash? (Looks like an engine).

Did you get the fault code read yet? I was looking at buying an ODB2 interface for my PC to avoid paying dealer fees to get the fault code, but if you have it already... ;-)
