Navigation By Post Code

I have just purchased my first Lexus, a new GS300SE and am disappointed to find that I cannot enter a full UK post code. The system is set up for 5 characters (US ZIP?).

Surely this cannot be correct. Can anyone advise, please?

That is the case on my 05 SC (Gen 4)and I was surprised too.

Would have thought it would have been updated by now (you have Gen 5 I think), especially as a £200 Tom Tom does it...

Have you tried telephone numbers...

PS have you tried manually entering telephone numbers into memory:tsktsk:

I agree, I love the car. However for a prestigeous vehicle like this, I would have thought that some effort would have been made to alter the Navigation software to accept UK postcodes. (I haven't experienced any difficulty with telephone numbers......yet.) It also irritates me to discover that my car has a "trunk" and a "hood" and runs on "tires". Surely a UK version of the handbook could easily be produced! (My wife has a Toyota and the same American spellings are used in its handbook).
