Mk1 Gs300 Sport Tyre Pressures

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Apologies if this has been asked many times before but i've trawled through the searches and not found an answer.

Does anyone have the correct tire pressures for a MK1 GS300 Sport with the 18" Sport wheels.

All four are currently the 8.5" wheels....

Any info would be appreciated as i think the previous owner got the pressures round the twist and its feeling rather skippy at the mo.

many thanks,

Nick

I'm running 245.40.18 front,275.35.18 rear at 36psi all round with myself and wife in car. I tried various pressures and found these gave good ride and handling. I have been unable to find any official pressures in nearly 6 years of owning the car.

Hi Nick,

Mine has the 8.5" all round and I run 34-36psi depending on load and road conditions. I've spoken to Tony @ WIM when he set my suspension geometry and around this sort of pressure is about right. The regular GS is 32psi all round for general conditions but I think the UK dealers modified them to create the Sport model and there wasn't a specific tyre pressure.

HTH,

Dave.

well the answer to the survey was 3 were on 25psi and one on 16.5 psi.. No wonder she felt a little odd! :)

On a positive note its amazing how forgiving the lexus suspension is as it drove alot better than the figures suggest.

thanks all for your help...

i'm going with 34psi allround for a while since often its only me in the car so very lightly loaded.

cheers,

Nic
