Which Oil To Use....

Just received my used K and N air filter courtesy of Rolex. I know it needs to be lightly oiled. The question is, what type of oil? Can I use the synthetic stuff that goes into the engine of my IS200, of which I have a spare pint in the garage? And in any case, how much oil needs to be applied? And how often?

Lots of questions but you are the dudes to ask !

Well I know my bike's filter is to be dipped in normal engine oil and allowed bo drain off. Any oil that remains, that's the right amount!

Don't know how revelvent that is, but there you go. Think K&N do their own stuff. Probably the best bet.

I believe it will need re-oiling every time it is cleaned. Which should be normal 10000mile/12 month service intervals (when you would normally replace a standard paper filter.)
