How Do I Disable A Car Alarm On A 2001 Lexus Rx300?

Recommended Posts

Maybe you can disconnect the Battery, so to reset all the epus, including the alarm.

Be aware, though, that the Battery must be disconnected for at least 30 mins., otherwise the car alarm will consider it an attempted theft and lock everything. Furthermore, you'll loose all the settings in the radio, seats, and possibly you'll have to "tune" back the powered windows.

Be careful and best luck! :winky:

Not sure if yours has the interior isolator button? But try that and see if it helps. You might be able to use it to figure out if the 'fault' is interior related (or not).

This (in the MKII) is a safe self-resetting feature that doesn't carry the risks associated with pulling the Battery etc. - also, try to WD40 the alarm contact points on the bonnet and tailgate as they tend t be culprits on many vehicles. Hope this helps!

My car alarm started going off randomly about every 5 minutes. I started the car and let it run for about 10 minutes, then I thought that solved the problem. However, it just started going off again. Does anyone know how to disable it?

i would take negative wire off Battery . then let it sit untill i could have it serviced . i would put cable back on Battery then drive directly to get it serviced .or be ready to connect and disconnect Battery ever time you park
