Is 220d Opinions?

Hi all, I'm new to your forum and need some opinions, I am looking at buying the wife an IS220D 2008, what is the general opinions on this model, are they a good motor are the hard on fuel etc? Any comments, good or bad, are welcome.

i would choose another make these engines arnt good try 28mpg taking it easy also very slugish low down poor gear box 6th gear useless under 80mph!! and ride unsettled at low speeds.....avoid
