Shaking When Cold And Idling

Recommended Posts

Hi,

There's a strange shaking when I start the car in the morning after several hours of rest.

When the engine is cold and it warms up with RPM ~1300-1500 the car sometimes shakes just like there was a problem with a cylinder not firing properly.

There's nothing wrong the car has warmed up and the "check engine" light does not show up.

Guess it's not humidity and ignition wires as the problem would be even bigger when driving on LPG - nothing like that, though LPG starts working when the engine is quite

warm. The vibrations do not disappear when I press the clutch pedal.

What can it be ? Dual mass f..... wheel? - hate that stuff in non-diesel engines.

Did you fix this? If you rock the engine does it move much - could be engine mounts, but then it should be the same when hot or cold!?

No, I did not fix it. When you start driving you can not get the feeling the shaking is there, it is only when idling.

As a matter of fact I'm not looking into the problem until I get into some problems - thought somebody else could face it.

I have the same problem. It appears only when engine is cold early (early in the morning). When I raise rev everything is fine. After the engine became hot then nothing like shaking have felt. My mechanic said that this is (maybe) a silted injector(s). I haven't fixed the problem yet.

I've drove the car on LPG about 2 years.
