Small Claims Court

Has anyone got any experience on how Toyota/Lexus approach issues in the Small Claims Court? I am sure they are keen to keep things inhouse or down the route of Trading Stds or within Auto Mobile Association/NPower review but has anyone tried things on with direct action with limited claimant exposure?

not sure on how lexus deal with it but have a look at moneyclaim.gov.uk if u wanna make a claim. i just finished my claim last week n won my case :)

I've read your other post. I suspect with a 6 year old car and 80k miles you are not going to get very far. They will say the replacement at 4 years was a goodwill gesture. Since they were replaced over 12 months ago and presumably you didn't contribute I don't think you will progress within the Lexus fold or outside it.

It would be a bit tricky, tradeing standards states a warranty period is as long as you would reasonably expect the goods to last.

Lexus might give in to it, but it would be up to you to persuade a court that 6 years & 80,000 miles is unreasonable. Probably stand more chance with a Lexus than any outher brand, Due to their in persuit of perfection brand.

and possibly new window switches, 2 new aerials wont fit into the shaft in rear wheel arch (no broken teeth in housing??), and they should do the egr pipe for free for putting it in a far from perfect position..............
