Hello Chaps,

I have noticed that when I give my LS MK IV the full beans I am creating a smoke screen worthy of 007 behind me.

As soon as I return to a more sedate pace the smoke stops (or at least I can't see it anymore).

When the car is idling, there is a bit of smoke from the pipes but it just looks like typical early morning smoke and not oil smoke.

Is this just my car or are others seeing similar results?

Thanks.

Redsteve.

My Mk IV is exactly the same Steve.:ohmy:

With my lack of mechanical knowledge, I had put it down to some form of condensation during the cold weather. If I ignore it, it goes away. :yahoo: But it's bloomin impressive when I floor it in sports mode - "eat my dust."

Hi

I can replicate this but only notice it at night in the headlights of the car behind. Having cheched that shes not an oil burner, the conclusion is that on kickdown, there is a short period when fuel is not fully burned. So I dont believe there is anything to worry about, and following your post, have concluded that it is normal.

Steve
