Keyless Go Ls430 2006 Can It Be Turned On/off?

Recommended Posts

I have just aquired a 2006 LS430 with Keyless Go. I have all three Master keys. The Keyless Go does not work. The Lexus handbook shows a button under the dash to turn this on/off. but there is no such button on the car. The remotes work ok and the remote barreries are OK. Any ideas would be welcome before I take it to Lexus. Thanks.

do you mean keyless entry? the button for this is located on the panel below the steering wheel, it is almost impossible to find by touch alone, i can only ever find mine by pushing the drivers seat as far back as it will go and then lying upside down in the footwell!

it is sometimes switched off to save the car Battery if the car is going to be left for a while, as the car is constantly scanning to see if you are approaching once the doors are locked.

if that wasnt what you meant then please ignore all of the above

Many thanks for that. There is a button under the dash to turn it on/off but it is so far under ( half way between the bottom of the dash and the pedals ) that I did not consider it to be there, especialy as the handbook shows it next to the 'locking bleeper volume control' which is much easier to see. When I phoned my local Lexus dealer yesterday they did not tell me about this button, just wanted me to book it in for 30 mins (£45?) just so they could press this button.
