the reason it would fail an MOT is because the poster lives in Portugal, where MOT's are a lot stricter than in the UK, to the point they insist a car is standard !

IS300 do come in a manual version, although rare and only available from the USA, but they are a lot cheaper out there and have the steering wheel on the wrong side to suit Portugal ! so might be worth trying to import one
