Backbox Boom Factor

I've got an automatic IS200 SE. So looking on here and elsewhere it's the general oppinion that you can't do much to the power output without spending loads.

So I was thinkin noise instead of power! I went to price up getting a back box fitted just to give it that whaaaa at the back to match the growl from the front!

The guy in the garage told me with it being an auto it may have a boom factor when changing gear at high speeds such as on the motorway. He was talkin about resinance n stuff. Can anybody enlighten me as to what he was on about?

Should I go for it or not?

Cheers

Got an auto aswell, it makes a crackin noise when you floor it.

I would say wise investment, I had a new system made from front to back cost just under 500 quid.

i would say this has slightly raised the performance as its released pressuse in the system.

bit expensive that option or you could always go down the route of a back box.
