Problem With Engine?

Hello, i have an is220D, have it about 8-9 months now and no problems to report.

Today i was drving out of the drive way and someone said there was a noise coming from the engine. So i popped the bonnet and i could hear a knocking/ ratteling noise coming from the engine, when i rev the engine the noise goes away or cannot be heard, i drive back from the shops (engine warm) and i cant hear the noise anyone,

There is 98k on the car it sounds like the noise is coming from the front of the engine where the belts are so maybe it could be the water pump??

is the water pump located on the bottom right of the engine (the pully on the bottom)??

or any other ideas what it could be?

Hi man, sounds like a similar problem to my own. I have a 2006 with only 36k on it and i have this rattle noise coming from the engine also. Bringing it to lexus dealer wednesday so hopefully we get it diagnosed. Its bugging me at the moment i must say. Picked the car up last month, everything else is sweet with car apart from that. I let ya know wednesday how i get on.
