Air Filter Upgrades

Hi All, Newbie here.

I've had my IS300 for a few weeks now and loving it. I checked my air filter a few days ago, and it was quite clogged up, so going to change it. I was wondering if there were any recommendations to upgrade it to something like a k&n performance filter, or even a green panel filter. Has anybody got any good results in acceleration from this? I am looking for more tested output (before and after results on a rolling road for example) rather than anecdotal. Something similar was done with a Subaru Impreza. testing the panel filters against each other and even induction kits. in the tests the Green Panel filter came out on top by miles.

Any help out there for me? Cheers in advance

Mark

I think the Lexus filters aren't paper filters, so flow quite well.

I've been tempted to change my 30k mile filter (due for change next year) but think it might be pointless.

By the looks of it, the TRD filter is a standard filter dyed red ?
