Amp By Pass Help

hi guys ok im stuck please help i un did the amp and pluged the bypass cable into the big plug from the bk of the amp then into the new cd player but nothing no power checked it in a nother car works fine now i have the amp removed completly do i need to leave it in the car and just the 1 plug in want to sort this as hate having no tunes cheers guys

i had the same recently. I investigated further and found there was only 2 wires (a power and an earth) connected to my audio unit wiring, which had 5 wires... so it had a live wire and a earth but no switchable live, ie powers on when ignition is on. So i wired in another switchable live wire from one of the heated seats and it worked a treat!!
