Error 4 And Error 3

My RX300 SEL has started to show Error 4 and less commonly Error 3 messages on the CD player. It normally resets itself when I restart the car but is very annoying. Is there a longer term/proper fix for this?

Also anyone else had the brake cylinder recall letter? Got my letter a couple of weeks back but no call from the dealership yet. How long should I wait before I call them?

Dealer told me yesterday when I phoned they were waiting for the paperwork from Lexus before they could start.

The Error 4 messages drive me nuts too. Every solution I've heard of sounds expensive.

I also have this issue... the ERROR 4 used to come and go but now I have a CD stuck in slot 5. Whenever I try to eject (or eject all) or change the CD it ERROR 3's. Any tips???

One tip I have found is to press Eject as you turn off the car. I now do this everytime and a couple of days ago a disc ejected when I restarted it! Wippee!! I thought :D

Still got Error 4 and 5 discs stuck in there.

One of teh reasons I git the SEL was for the MK Stereo and now it useless with no apparent fix. Absolute RUBBISH!! :tsktsk:

Get a GROM audio add-in installed and then hook up an iPod. Sorted! I haven't used my cd player for over a year now :)
