Hi guys I have looked to see if there is a blog about engine cleaning and I can't find one.

Just after some advice as I plan to steam clean my engine bay as it v dirty and dusty.

What areas should I be careful off or stay clear off? I plan to cover the Battery and fuse's etc.

the normal stuff ( alternator/ anything electric etc etc etc) I cleaned my engine bay with engine gunk, brushed the nasty spots then washed that down with a hose it is still clean today ( ps remove the bottom cover so the dirt actually leaves the bay)

can be used but if used wrong you brake stuff or water gets in to places it shouldn't be...

Best to do the gentle approach, if you don't have the time or it is really dirty .... use the high pressure gun on a cold started running engine stay away from the electrical stuff especially ecu & fuse boxes.. also remove the air intake and engine covers and wash these separately and away from the car... valve cover needs to be washed with a brush and washed down by hand, be careful and use an ample amount of water to flush the dirt away as the coilpacks do not like water nor do the sparkplugs. also check if all the rubbers around the sparkplug holes are in place before you start, if not skip this bit until you've sourced replacements.
