1996 Ls 400 Ac Air Conditioning

My LS 400 with 210,000 miles drives beautifully. This car is a gem. Over the last year the blower motor for the AC has gotten weaker and weaker. The volume of air it blows is very low. I have changed the cabin filter but still no improvement. My question is this. What should I expect to pay to have this replaced? Any ideas?

Hello and welcome to the LOC UK.

Although you have replaced the cabin filter have you checked the air intake area around the base of the windshield wiper arms, these are fine mesh and tend to get clogged with debris over time therefore restricting the airflow into the cabin.

Can you hear the motor speed vary when you adjust it on the AC controls?

New blower motor is around $500.00!
