Misfire And Running Rich.

Hi all. I have bought a Lexus IS200 sport on a 2000X. The car is a standard car and has 154k under it's belt with full service history, although I am dubious on the quality of the service!! I got the car delivered and the Battery was flat. I charged the Battery and started the car and it has a misfire and wouldn't rev (almost like limp mode). I had the TRC light flashing and when I plugged in my laptop got the code P1127 ECTS. I checked the fuse and it had blown, possibly from someone jumping the car previous to me buying it. First thing I did was unplug a coilpack at a time to see if it would run with one unplugged. It stalled if any where unplugged. So I checked the plugs (now leading to suspicions on the last service) and there where 3 different types of spark plugs, some singles, some twins and some triples!! So, I have now replaced all the plugs and the Battery and the ECTS fuse, problem solved? No!! Still have the misfire and it smells like it is running very rich from the tailpipe. I have throttle response back and no CEL or TRC light now, but where do I go from here? I was wondering if the spark was weak and the car had been running like this for some time, if it may have broken down the cat and blockeed the cat or backbox up? I have these symptoms before on a Carlton GSI and Omega Elite V6 and this was the cause on both.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received as I have sold my other car and need this on the road.

Thanks,

Gaz
