High Mile Ls 400....

Found a ls 400 very local to me looks ok,but the mileage is 220000,should i stop being an idiot go and have a look and make my own mind up? I have had a few high mileers in my time but none that high,what potential probs should i be on the look out for as these miles please chaps???

I wouldn't rule it out but do all the normal checks. Loads of advice on buying these on this site already. Key things are cambelt changes, general issues re service history, etc. And haggle a lot!

hi, the 2nd lexus ls400 i bought when ,i was looking for a car quickly.cos i lost job and company bmw 530d i got with 224000 miles on it ,it had been owned by the same lady 2nd owner for 14 yrs, had nearly all lexus s/h. i had it for 18 months never any trouble,i had to change aerial and repair leak on power steering, i changed the oil and filters twice, thats all,237000 when sold ,it was in a garage for £895,not many people want a k reg lexus, really ,i haggled it down to 650 with b6mths tax and sold it for £560,that cheap motoring ii a luxury car cos it drove still beautifully, past mot with no advisories 2week before i sold it,you need to see it and make your mind up re condition s/h etc doesnt have to be lexus if its looked after you can tell, plenty of good ones around for not much money

That's good advice. With these cars, you always buy on condition (and history), not mileage.

The important thing is how has it been maintained and what's been replaced suspension/steering/cambelt etc. As for mileage mines at 231,000
