For peace of mind I would have the secondary oil cooler fitted but not sure about £900. Depends a lot on the caravan weight, how you load it and where you will be towing.

I got a kenlowe cooler fitted 50000 miles ago and have been happily towing a1500kg caravan for the last 6 years. Cost me about £100 at the time plus about £60 fitting which included new oil and filters in the gearbox.

Oh and at the time I bought the car I was assured by Lexus uk that the car would be fine without the cooler for my caravans weight

That's all well and good but if your autobox fails or engine overheats going up (or down) snake pass or towing in Wales/Lakes/Robin Hood Bay etc etc etc will Lexus foot the bill? Also if your TOTAL towing weight is 1500kg you are at 75% of capacity...............are you including just the weight of the caravan or your all up weight?
