Sportcross Dog Guard Help

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know how the genuine Lexus Dog Guard fits into the car, is there a fitting kit or does it slide in place?

Looking at the attached picture is there anything missing?

not familiar with the sportcross, but on other makes, there is a clip on the roof where it meets the sides (on the B pillar, between the jesus handles, and a second set further back, depending on whether seats are up or down).

A pin on the guard slides into this clip to support the top.

The straps then fasten to the luggage loops on the floor of the load area

Hi,

Found this on eBay........its shows the style of dog guard but not the actual vehicle....need to read the whole advert.

It may be of use to you as it seems quick fitting and easy removal.

see link below

Thanks for the imput, as the guard I'm interested in is on eBay I might take a punt on it. The sellers have been really helpful but no longer own their Sportcross and can't 100% recall how it fitted although his wife said she took it out and seems to think it just slotted in place.

Phil: Thanks for the link, will give the listing a read.

Pete: Think he'll be fine regarding space...............I hope!

By way of an update: I managed to win the Lexus dog guard on eBay (£43.00 INC p+p) a black one from Lexus would have set me back £250. They can supply and Ivory coloured one for £120 also.

In terms of fitting, you lower the rear seats and the dog guard struts fit onto the rear seat securing lugs, basically when the rear seats are pushed back up that secures the guard in place.

Really pleased with it.
