Radio Amp Problems

ive a 2008 lexus is 250 i had a crackle from the rear speaker a few weeks back but now when i turn my radio /cd up past 28 the volume goes off can some one tell me if its the amp ? if so ive been told its located in the boot area also been told its behind the glov box help as i need loud music lol

63 i guess. Mine reads 62 then MAX.

Jay, if you haven't then check the Bass/Mid/Treble settings. When I got my car the Bass was set on max..... not good.

hell thanks for the replys , yes checked the bass still the same i like loud music always have it loud but cant turn it up over 28 grrrrr priced an amp up online and quoted £245 and im so not paying that is their a reset button on the amp ? or some kind of fuse ???
