Rx300 Power Going To Front Driver's Side Wheel On Occasion

Hi. I am new to the forum.

I have a 2002 rx300 which on occasion (always when starting off from standing point) where the power seems to be going to front driver's side wheel. This is only from a standing point and then quickly reverts to normal.

Can any body offer me help/advice?

I really do not know what the problem is - only hoping it is not going to cost me an arm and a leg. I have the MOT due later this month and will see what the mechanic says and keep you posted.
