What can I say ? We spent 3 hours at Ians well run Lexus dealership in Edinburgh. During the time,despite the constant stream of customers, Ian gave us his undivided attention. We were treated to coffee and all cars being washed (aidos took a bit longer !!) We were also allowed to test drive the new hybrid RX and were taken out in the new GS430. The new GS430 Like sitting in your living room……….quality of fittings was amazing. Like the look as well ! The car goes exceptionally well ….pulls like a train but is almost inaudible ! The active suspension was what impressed me the most. We went all the way round a roundabout at a stupid speed with no drama whatsoever….like a go kart. I want one . RX hybrid. .2 of a second slower to 0-62 than a Range Rover Sport £19k cheaper…….we did 99.9mpg driving through Edinburgh. Nuff said ! As its 0-62 time indicates (7.6) its no slouch when you put your toe down either. I will not bore you with the technical bits but if you want a SUV and are a city dweller it’s the machine for you ! I’m sure the others will second what I have to say but thanks again Ian for a wonderful afternoon. From my experience and what some other members have said about their local dealers I ‘d say pop on up to see Ian…..you’ll get well looked after !! I’m taking on a third job to save up for the new gs430

Quick report on the Scottish tour. As mentioned in the original post we had some refusals at the final fence which brought the numbers down form the original 10 cars to 4. Unfortunately that was reduced further on the day of the trip when Gordon H had to cancel due to a sudden family illness. That left Aido, Steve Walter and Olga, Steve Wong (AKA SteveAudioX) and Myself & Kami left to invade bonny Scotland. We met up at South Mimms at 7.30 ish where Steve Wong hopped in the Prolex mobile (he’s now lexless) and we trundled up the M1 to meet Aido @ junction 28/29. We then headed of ooop north stopping for lunch at a nice pub near wetherby where Aido pulled his first culinary shock…turning down a carvery for a cheese baguette ! The trip up the M1/A1 across the A66 was uneventful and traffic free. We ended up on the shores of Loch Lomond at 6 pm where Charlie & Jessica had a quick swim…. Spirited drive round the Loch saw us arrive at Crieff for 7.30 ish where we booked in (No bills waiting for me thankfully…..) Nice evening meal (Aido having a fruit cocktail starter……) few beers bottles of wine and off to beddie byes…. Saturday we popped into Crieff for 30 seconds………..then took the scenic route to Edinburgh over the Forth bridge. Parked up in Edinburgh for a wee look aboot then took ourselves off to lexus Edinburgh. Ian greeted us and showed us around the impressive premises and showrooms. I’ll be writing a more detailed report on this part of the trip separately…suffice to say it was worth the trip alone After spending 3 hours there we headed off back to Crieff on the M9 where we were joined by Ian in the RX hybrid for part of his trip home…..well wicked bit of driving I must say…….never saw a RX go so well !! Another nice meal at the hotel and a hearty breakfast (didn’t eat again until 8pm !) and we headed off darn sarf………. Decided to go through the lake district as Steve Wong & Aido wanted to kidnap a sheep (not sure if it was to eat )…..more lovely scenery. Pics to follow……….. All in all an excellent weekend…………thanks for everyone for coming ! France next year ???

Enjoyed Brunters so much I've been in contact with some peeps who can do a day for us (open pit lane...unlimited track time) Need 40 peeps Cost is £140 for the day which is cheap as its a proper race track and you get full facilities of the circuit (restuarant etc). All done properly (like brunters) with marshalls instructers etc. I'd like people interested to express interest below. Need to move quick to confirm the date. This is nothing to do with Prolex-uk..........just feel the need to go like billyoh without gaining anymore points

OK, Been speaking to Ian @ lexus Edinburgh :D He will put aside an area to park for us and have some lexi for you to look at/drive as well as coffee etc. As well as that Ian asked if any attendees had any other requests for things to do :) So fire away chaps (be sensible )

I was told that a reduction of 5 degrees could increase bhp by up 10% (not entirely sure of the figures) The idea being to use the intercooler spray when stopped in traffic to give a spurt when pulling away. I'm sure there is a formula somewhere
