  1. Well I went from a Subaru STi which was returning 18 - 20mpg depending on how I drove it, I was filling up every 3 days, so getting in my Lexus and flooring it every where is still mega economical in comparison! LOL I do find though with the IS200, no matter how I drive it I seem to always get the same miles to a tank, unless I go on a very long motorway journey I always seem to get 350miles to a tank.
  2. I do not think any damage would be done, but you would not be driving all that efficiently.
  3. Thanks guys.... Sorry for posting something that has been covered before. I did not have much luck searching for any posts..... Probably user error....
  4. Guys, I have an IS200 totally standard. Which in my opinion is a little under powered to say the least. At the end of the day, I did not buy it for performance, just for sheer comfort and sensibleness. It would however, be nice to have a little more pull, even if it is a small amount more. I am not really in the market for turbos and superchargers. What about chipping the car, has anyone done that, if so, will it make much difference in performance? Also, finally, where do you go to get the car chipped, if indeed, it is worth doing at all. Any help would be greatfully received. Thanks in advance...... :)
  5. Do you mind if I ask how much that project of yours cost? I admire the fact you make all that stuff yourself, the door panels, boot sub etc... Are you in the business.... Very impressive! :)
  6. WOW, that project Daywalker is something else!!!!! B)
  7. Thanks guys! Yes perhaps I should have not gone quite so sensible.... I am just obsessed with power and really want to change my driving, I have had all sorts, Z3 M Coupe, Subaru STi, oh and a Yamaha R1! All of which I am amazed I got away with my licence in tact!!! So I thought with all these speed cameras appearing it was time to be sensible, but I miss having the power and battling with Turbo Diesel Mondeo's is quite annoying and I only just manage to pull away from them.... LOL
  8. +/- 205 / 250 BHP respectively ← 0 - 62mph ???
  9. I am completely new to Lexus, what is the best mods you can do? I will have to do some digging on this forum and see what you guys recommend.....
  10. LOL, I will sort out some pics of her. It is an SE, I think, so no body kit..... I am in Wokingam. I have to confess, I am used to very powerful motors and brought one of these to be a bit more sensible and lower my speed and costs. But now I am starting to miss the power and want more!! I called Lexus to see if there are any official mods that can be done which will not effect my warranty, it seems there are not..... bu99er!
  11. Platinum Ice, thanks for the welcome matey..... :)
  12. Hello all, I am new to this forum and this looks a pretty cool place to meet other Lexus peeps.... So I thought I would post my first topic and say Hi to you all. :) Got a '54 plate Lexus IS200, very happy with it over all, wish I had a little more grunt, but apart from that it is brill! You all enjoying the sun then? B)
