  1. just got a price for the TRD front lip spoiler from Lexus Newcastle £143 unprimed, is this an average price across the country
  2. mmmmmm you could be on to some thing there m8ty very nice
  3. bleeding the brakes mite just do the trick, mine are the same mate but Ive just been to lazy do do them.
  4. the law is an ars!! AT TIMES, i would just take the risk on some thing as trivial as this and what will be will be if i get stop just change back give a week and change back again, 9 out of ten bobbies don't know what they are locking at any way (well not around here they don't) AND IVE HAD LOTS OF DEALINGS WITH THEM!!!. you will often find the locale pold in the car accessories shop reading the labels of modding parts
  5. can any body tell me were i can get some bonnet piston rams from and how to fit them,
  6. Ive taken the spare wheel out saves 3and a half stone in weight, helps a lot with the 0-60
  7. i have 18's on mine with an offset of 35 but they do rub on the arches we going in to dips in the road above 40 mph, even worse around town if i have a body in the back, but i do believe that's because the minimum offset is meant to be 40 (so I'm led to believe) although i have been a bit suspicious of the back springs for a long time.
  8. hi ARF!! here from barrow in furness cumbria or (the lake district)driving a 2001, platinum ice sport.had it 5 years now and just cant stop driving it, be it forwards OR side way's, i love it. :D
  9. mmmmmm!!!not my cup of tea!! but that's OK! Co's there would be no point in modding if we all had the same thing done, each to there own, one question i have though is, do your fogs still work as in the standard brake to fog conversion. GOOD ON YOU!!
  10. there seems to be a a lot of clunking cranking banging noises from the front end of the is200, lots of peeps asking questions along the same line of this but nobody can identify a common fault or course, i thought that i had fix mine by replacing the lower suspension arm bush,s but low and behold the noise is back again, so i tock it to a locale garage and had them lock over all the suspension and brake part,s, they could not see anything obviously wrong with anything!! so i reckon if anyone out there can sus this problem out will be HERO on here to all owner,s (maybe its the body panels flexing) probs not but what else could it be??????????
  11. basically i have become a bit complacent with the car now, to others that drive my car on the odd occasion it feels great to them (WOW!! THAT WAS FUN), but for me it just seams to lack a little something?, i think what i really want is a bit more torque through the low gears,on the (M) way it pics up at a great pace in the 70-000 mph range where i think the is200 is best suited as a stock of the shelf car, as for me i don't do a great lot of (M) way driving, my time is more spent on the roads around the lake district so its a lot of short sprint type driving that i do hence the reason for a greater attention to the lower gear,s (CHARGER OR TURBO)
  12. No it will be the same, only you get there faster, you main problem is finding a supercharger :o is the charger a stock item or will it have to come of something different.i do have a few quid coming my way soon so i have been thinking on the lines of the supra twin turbo i believe it will be around the 4 grand Mark fitted, just need to find some where with more info on the subject which one would be the more sensible choice??? You'll have to join the long queue to get a second hand charger mate. you could try a turbo kit or engine conversion. but 4k for the 3l tt conversion? my 2l tt conversion was 5k and that was cheap. i was under the impression that you can only put a charger on the 200 and not a turbo ??? am i wrong on that one then

  14. if i was to supercharge my is200sport would it seriously reduce my already short 1st gear range
  15. i can't see why it should matter to him v6 or i6 he clearly has no mechanical expertise to notice any benefits of either engine
  16. this is the guide i used, but there is no need to remove the light unit just splice in before the grommet, the hardest bit about this was waiting for the diodes to arrive.
  17. hi mate, i used a non silicone dash renovator on the air box and just soap and water on the exhaust shield. and lots of ELBO!! every thing got washed pipe's cables plugs right down to the belly pan.
  18. well it was a nice day in barrow in furness today so i thought i would give the old engine a bit of a clean, its in a 2001 car with 80,000 on the clock, here are some pics to share with you all. i had a little time left on my hands so i also fitted some 8k HID'S, and converted the fog's to brake light's (idea taken from this forum) im well chuffed with the out come, just need to get a TRD front lip now. im loving my car once again.
  19. you will have to get the full arm mate £116 keep an eye on here http://www.amazon.com/Lexus-IS200-IS300-00...s/dp/B001PTN0UC also tryed here but have not yet had an answer of them. http://www.topspeedauto.com/ProductCart/pc...;idproduct=1988
  20. i think you might find its the lower suspension arm bush's that's gone, no bush available, you will have to get the full arm £116 each from Lexus, i got one of find a part.com but do be careful there not all the same, one is more bent than the other and a bit shorter.(mine is the longer straighter one 2001 car) cost me £85 secound hand for the lower arm(RRP£116) and the tie bar with ball joint attached.(RRP£140) hence to say i have the shorter more bent one for sale now because i got the wrong one first time round. SILLY OLD ME!! .but its all sorted now YAHOO!!!! :D REAL EASY JOB. remove the 3 bolts from the arm, 2 small bolts in bracket boll joint end of arm, 2 small bolts along the same brackets bar towards the centre of the car, just to give a bit of free play in the bracket, remove only 2 of the steering rack bolts if your only doing one side, again this is only to give a bit of free play fro the arm to move, no need to mess about taking all the plastic belly guard's of there is enough play to do the job with ease. some pic's of the two arm's
  21. i have a K@N panel filter in mine difference noticed =none if you want noise go for the exhaust, iv seen it on here that power flow are no good for the is200 WELL i say poppy cook!! to that i have power flow from the cat back, large bore pipe no centre box, then into back box and the sound is awesome more so in a built up area, but it can be a pain in the bottom on a long run
