Hi all, Driving at night the car seems to not have enough battery juice.....i mean with full lights on and A/C and the stereo , if i use the electric window switch the full beams dimm noticeably.... It's supposed to be a new battery but if looks very small for the space provided.....should i get a heavy duty battery?.....The battery gauge seems to be charging as it is positioned slightly over 13 volts ..... The weather is very wet recently...could it be bad connectors? ..i checked the belts and they are all nice and tight..... Please ...all advice welcome thanks

In the current Topgear mag....Clarksons says that they have space for only 500 guests each recording and they have so many applications that it would take 19 years to clear the back log......so unless you know someone who knows someone.....

New to the world of tiptronic ( but loving every second ) .....Can someone explain what ( and When ) the other selections are for i.e. L-2 and 3....? Also did anyone else get a Altezza with remote start up? ......There's 3 buttons on this "start" "stop" and a red one...........Start does exactly what it says on the tin.....stop opens the boot....??? for some reason and i haven't seen any reaction to the red button.....It's a toyota controller by the way... One more thing....... Found a ON/OFF button inside the glove box....no reaction to switching it ....any idea? Thanks everyone Noel

Google here too......put in a search for Altezza and found my way here......best source of info on the web for Altezza.....IMO

I had originaly planned to take off the Altezza Badges and replace them with IS200 Lexus ones, mainly so that i wouldn't have to keep explaining to everyone that it is an imported Jap Lexus ........ but now that i have my fantastic Altezza, I wouldn't dream of calling it an IS200 (no offence to IS200 owners intended).....they may look the same but boy am i glad i took the RS for a testdrive ........ No in my humble option.....IT's an Altezza and proud of it .....

Just got my RS200 (tiptronic) and can't stop grinning.... :D .... wow Find a RS and take it for a test drive and keep the revs up (4000+) and you will grin too....... :winky:

No problem....i'll put up pics when its done... Yes i didn't want OTT either but the car already has nice skirts so need a nice spoiler..... the "tte" lip spoiler is nice too, but too small to suit the skirts ( imo) Noel

Hi , Whats the offical name of the blue colour of a '00 altezza/lexus.....is it Blue Mica?...Blue sapphire? ...Blue ..? I have a rear lip spoiler ordered and while i'm waiting for that i want to organise the correct paint....Oh and on that subject...how much paint will i need.......heres a link to the spoiler.... Lip Spoiler I presume it is best to spray before premanently mounting it.........( my first spoiler....i'm so excited.. ).. Thanks

Hi everyone , Just a quick question.....when it comes to engine servicing which is better....Toyota Dealers or Lexus Dealers, better explain my train of thought.........Toyota dealers would probably know the engine better but Lexus dealers should know the rest of the Car best.........Toyota servicing would be closest to me .....nearest Lexus Dealer is 70miles......although in some places they are all the one!.... What do you recommend.......? either way they won't have much experience with Altezzas Thanks

Well i drove the Auto and loved it.....so i'll be picking up my 2000 Altezza next week . It seems in very good condition with 38000 miles on it........the only problems are the inside, it used to have a TV, sat nav screen but now theres this ugly hole in the top, what is the best solution for this....? DIY job?........ Other thing is the CD player seems crap but if a change it, isn't there going to be a great big hole where in used to be......Any recommendations on what to put in it's place...? Oh .....one more thing i really liked the flat boot spoiler on the Qualitat model......where can i get one of them? Thanks EDIT....ok i found a fascia mask on E-Bay so thats one question answered, now for the hole on top.....anyone?

How reliable is the Auto box and switches ? any issues.....It would be very difficult to source parts in ireland, had this problem with an integra in the past, speedo cable snapped.....6 weeks to get a replacement

Here is a link to the Irish site.....i don't know how to attach pics just yet carzone I'm thinking it's just been done up by the last ower in japan to look like a TRD The RS 5 gear Auto is sounding kinda cool......compared to the 4 gear basic job on the IS200 and approx 7 out of 10 used IS200 for sale in Ireland are automatic...

Do all RS auto have F1 type paddels or only some.....?

Yes it looks like that but with a different rear spoiler, also there is a strut in the boot and the manifold looks like it's stainless steel and the bonnet is supposed to be carbon fibre .....looked more like fibre glass...also they have the rear lenses masked out to match the body colour ( Black ).... I liked it but i don't want police attention....it stands out too much....no the Quilitat is still in mind if i could change the steering wheel colour.....is that a big job or should i be shot for even thinking it ....hehe

How would i know if it was a real TRD ?

Thanks What about Automatic or triptronic.....worth considering or steer clear? So the TRD only has standard 210 bhp like the Quilitat and the dealer is feeding me bull....

Thanks for welcome and info.... To be honest the "TRD" version is a little too in your face for my liking...whereas the Qualitat was very nice but had awful red seats and red steering wheel........ How do you know if they are genuine what extras should each have ?.......and on the Bhp question any ideas....? thanks again
