Yes Both sides rattle and the dash to boot. Cannot beleive all you read in the press about lexus IMHO no different to any car manufacturer alan

Yes I Have had the same 30 minutes of apologies for the rattles etc saying it is a one off!! thats a laugh! My car is being used as a test case for the repairs but I have decided that I have had enough and will reject the car through my solicitor. The faults were there right form the first minute that I drove the car . The PDI was not done properly and now they blame the customer...! Lexus have not got a clue They are resting on their laurels and will be knocked back just like Merc some years back. alan

An update on mine . first day and the result is that where the dash touches the windscreent the foam insulation has not been fitted evenly. ..cauding the resonance and rattle The doors will be looked at over the next day or two As some one said in another post the PDI is poor as this car rattled from the ist minute I drove it I am thinking of getting rid of this car as I see many months of frustrating hassles with it. Cant beleive that lexus can be this bad at quality control ALan PS Praise is due to James at Lexus Woodford who is very polite, helpful, open and optomistic..He is a credit to that dealership!

Welll mine is due a two day stint at Lexus Woodford They seem confident that they can sort the rattles out .I will post when I get it back with a solution( Ihope) Now Both front doors are rattling It rattles over bumps as well . I asked if Lexus were aware of the problems but it would seem as though they have not notified their dealers if they are aware. Other posts on Motoring forums list similalar problems including Honest John who writes the Telegraph motoring column. This cannot be the sort of publicity that Lexus want! Alan

I worked in the retail motor trade for 18 years, however it was not a luxury brand but the leading manufacturer in Britain. The incentive campaigns varied but nearly always were based on sales objectives. Each dealer had an annual sales objective, then split into monthly objectives based on the % each month represented of the annual figure. So July's objective would be nowhere near a twelfth of the total. Incentives were based on registrations dates, so the end of a month would be quite busy. I think thats why they brought in road tax of a year and a week. The dealer paid the weeks fee and the customer still got a full years licence if he took it the 1st of the month. Yes Very poor response I have rattles in both doors,and from time to time the dash and front speaker as well. Wrote to Lexus GB No response at all. Even HOnest John on his forum has listed rattles and what is bad withthe new IS 250 Are Lexus just not listening! Ignore you custmomers at your peril Alan

True I have driven Merc for the last 25 years They went through a rough patch with poor build quality. my wif e has a three yer old new Eclass and it is faultless..no rattles or problems at all They have noted customer concerns and seem to have gone back to basics. I suppose that is why I am so surprised at finding a new rattle a day no the IS250 Today speaker vibration ! A few tries with this car then its back to the drawing board alan

Yes I think the rattle is from the window seal or fit withthe door. The dash rattle is form the speaker area..this fault is know by lexus as it has been noted in other models. I will let them have a go at it alan

Mine rattles too from both front doors and the dash Dealer says that a clip is loose in the door panel It is in for 2 days next week will post after wards alan

Yes my new lexus has rattles in both door trims...what has happened to Toyota build quality alan

After 15 years of driving only Mercs I decided to have a change. Tried the IS250 and was impressed with the engine , drive etc. Well after 3 weeks the bloom has worn off...rattles from doors( the first one started within 3 miles of the showroom) and now the dash as well. After all the praise and JD power ratings is this a one off or is the baby lexus being built to price..? Anyone else had the same problems with this model .. Alan
