  1. yeah i would be holding out for the free wheels. as a last option...how much was the wheels you was going to put on yourself? offer him that much
  2. the mazda was much wider and imo heavier than the IS..and being underpowered as well a petrol engine would be heavier on the juice
  3. well ive done 950 miles now and still only getting 32.7mpg...admittadly i dont spare the horses..but i didnt in my previous car either (mazda 6 1.8ts(petrol)) and that was returning 29mpg :duh:..oh..ive got a 220d
  4. hmm.. i must have a glitch.....i push and hold the button until it beeps..it has the rand illuminated and underlined and also a disc icon....but still only plays from one folder....i havent actually let a whole track play whilst testing this merely advancing to the next track (i have tried several times/several adnvances)..so this might be causing the problem :duh:
  5. i have tried presing and holding the rdm button but it only appears to be radom playing tracks in that foldaer not the whole disk
  6. my is220d has the stnd music system....popped in 2 discs full of mp3 and it plays ok..but cant seem to get the random selection working properly...it only plays tracks in the folder radomnly..can it play all discs/folders radomnly? if so how?
  7. alright, I've had the IS220D for over 2 weeks now and have just over 600 miles on the odo. this is my first Lexus as well as first oilburner. average mpg is 32! my driving is 40% heavy traffic and 60% fast dual carriageway I dont think my driving style is best suited for the engine so need to change it sharpish i usually change up at about a 3.5/4k but reading another post on here is it recommended to change earlier than that?..i'm also finding it hard to adjust to the turbo lag..is that because of my driving style too? also, and i dont know if this is because the engine is still "tight" but pulling out of junctions in second almost stalls the car. any tips/advice appreciated. lol, reading the above again makes me sound like a complete driving numpty :duh:
  8. That’s a good point and one I had already thought of. Lexus Exeter has already offered a loan car while the repairs are being done so I haven’t even asked More Than for one. They don’t charge for it either like some dealers I have been reading about on here. I asked that a while back when some other minor work was required. slightly off topic....my is220 is a lease car however, i have to sort the servicing out myself (well the company does) How are Lexus Exeter for servicing / warranty work etc?
  9. just had mine delivered at noon today....first lexus AND oil burner....stalled it twicewhen dropping the delivery driver off at the train station ..oh btw why does always take an age to re-start it in traffice unfortunatly i'm back at the office so only done about 2 miles in it do far...but the good news is.....no niggles /rattles yet :D ....or none that i have noticed :winky: i feel like a pauper in here as i only have the base model in cadaxton slate no doubt i will be reading the manual cover to cover on my drive tonight ...looking out for envious glances from my neighbours :D :D
  10. afternoon. managed to persuede my company to get me a IS220d...well I've just ordered it.....lease company promise it will be with me first week in June. Cadaxton Slate
