Lloydo Goto your dealer and say you want to question the charge and also mention that everyone on the Lexus Owners Club has been quoted less. or in your case much less!

What i would like to know is what they spent 6 hours doing.. i mean if they charge by the hour which would be around £50 an hour right? Why does it take 6 hours to do those changes? I moaned at Toyota once for this and they gave me some money back and said it was a mistake.... it was only because it was queried and wanted a breakdown that they said it was a mistake. Request a breakdown.. your entitled to know what your paying for... if they say no... insist further If no luck then phone HQ or trading standards

IS the oil filter of good quality? Does the filter have a non-return valve as cheap ones do not have these. Myself I buy genuine toyota parts but have them fitted elsewhere.. I do not have a warranty to adhere to.

Thanks to Chris Shipley the club has been invited to attend the opening of the new Lexus Staffordshire showroom. This ideal event will be available for the whole club to attend in January and a final date has to be set. Chris or I shall announce more information nearer the time.

Playa... if you had a lambo I am sure you would be happy. But it is a known fact having such super cars you have to be prepared for the jelous people in this world. My business partner owns a Ferrari 550 Spider and on quite a few occasions has been spat at... this is no joke... The worst is when you have the roof down... Also been cut up, had hand signals and the odd mouth piece. Fortuantly he only drives it when it is sunny sp it is not an everyday car. I am not saying i would not have one.. but no way would i have it as a main car gimme a vauxhall chevette :D -
oh ok.. phew.. thought i was going to have to censor!

Hi Loz Welcome to the club mate.. we are a friendly bunch and meet on quite a few occasions. Our next meet is in October in Warickshire which is the Autmn General meet Would be good if you could make it! The meets are certainly worth partaking in!

that is a strange problem... By the sounds of it the heat brings the dash lights on... Have you checked the fuses under the hood? Maye there is a dry connection somewhere and the heat causes the joint to expand?? Just a suggestion Maybe you should take the car into have a diagnoses or buy a hand held diagnoses machine and get the error code and ask Lexus what the error code means.

Ouch.. i know what you mean about the Florida heat.... Me being from the UK it feels like being in an oven when ever I am in Orlando (not that i have ever sat in an oven :D ) I think your car needs a recharge personaly... I suffer the same problems myself when the gas runs out in the AC of my ES. Also best get a pressure check done so test for any leaks.. Also ask for a dye to be added to the gas.. then next time you go for a recharge you can get them to check for leaks as the dye will show under UV light.
