  1. Once all the presets are used up only thing for it is to get a new IS with a nice new empty set of presets!
  2. I think it does improves throttle responsiveness. This would I imagine be easy to do with an electronic throttle/accelerator. Similarly, the 'snow mode' not only adapts gear changes it also damps down the throttle so that acceleration reduces to reduce the risk of slipping.
  3. I've had my IS250 for about 15 months now and still delighted with it. I've realised that since buying the car from new I haven't had any contact from Lexus. No satisfaction surveys, no monthly/quarterly glossy magazines, etc. My previous cars were Peugeots/Renault/Saab and with all of these I had regularl 'bumf' from the manufacturer. I'm not unduly concerned about missing out on big glossy magazines every few months but my main concern is that, if I should be getting this sort of stuff I might be overlooked if an recall occurred. Can anyone tell me if I should be receiving regular communications from Lexus? Thanks.
  4. My Problem with the DVD is that it often won't let me use the DVD at all, even just to view the DVd screen, for maybe the first 20 minutes of so of driving (which is pretty much the length of my journey to work on a good day). It will recognise FM, WM, LW and the AUX input but just behaves as if there is no DVD present for this time, then suddenly wakes up to the fact that there is a DVD player. It seems to be worse after I have connected an IPod or other MP3 player into the AUX socket. I'm coming up for 10,000 mile service so will get Lexus to look at it then, but anyone else had a similar problem?
  5. Have fun enjoying the car's gadgets and the driving experience. I've had my IS two months and, despite being a gadget freak who is one of those sad individuals who reads manuals, am still discovering new toys and features in the car. Only a week or two ago I found the little lever that makes the ashtray glide upwards up in a beautiful soft damped way.
  6. Sympathy due here for sure... SP - it's not the metallic Barbie pink is it? It certainly is. I got some very funny looks when overtaking a guy in a white van in it! Mind you, I've also got a Daihatsu Copen as a 'fun' car so I'm used to getting stared at on the road.
  7. Originally 1/9 but just heard from the dealer that they're being taken over on Friday so might not have the computer systems running on that day. Looks like another weekend running around in my wife's pink Jazz.
