  1. I paid 335 quid for a 40k service a couple of weeks ago so that seems ok. As for is it worth it well thats up to you I do as its still a new car and for piece of mind. Lets face it to do the work that they do for 300 quid even to take it else where would probably set you back a couple of hundred anyway whats an etc 100 quid when it comes to a car like this?

  2. Just had the car put through its mot and 40K service at poole.

Got a call to say my passenger sides rear tyre was down to 2mm and would i like it changing.

After a bit of negotiation they put a dunlop sportmaxx xl on it which is the replacement for to 9000's that ive got on the other 3 corners.

All I can say is wow if the car ever feels a bit skittish check the rubber, shes a totally different girl again now fallen in love all over again

  3. Do the revs climb matey when you put your foot down but the speed stays low?

ref upto 4rpm and doesnt wanna push any further :crybaby:

    up to 4k?

no wonder its not the quickest of cars nothing really happens below 4k take her to 5 or so then see how well it pulls

  4. right fuel consumption on a decent run with a light throttle 35 is possible but lok closer to late 20s early 30s realistically round town low 20s.

performance isnt that great from a 2.0litre 153 bhp is nothing when you take into account 2 tons worth of car to shift on a plus note being 6 cyl it does have plenty of torque it just needs to be worked unfortunatly with that the mpg does drop like a stone.

Handling firstly get it wimed they screwed up the geo on is200's causing inside tyre wear and giving a floaty feel as standard, it is however rwd meaning that once sorted point it in the right direction and even with a bit of sliddy action it will go where you want it to (so I found out this morning). It doesnt however seem to work well with opposite lock as well as the bm's cope with it but as long as you point it where you want it to go the rear will generally follow.

If you want an altezza buy one the cost of transferring the engine isnt worth it if your going that route you may as well do a supra conversion as it will cost you just as much, plus imo the altezza is over rated yes its quicker but you dont get the smooth performance or the luxury feel
