  1. but you have no experience to say that it handles crap your only other experience of driving is a FWD car. All I said is compare it to other RWD cars before saying that its crap there is a world of difference between FWD and RWD in terms of handling and what you can do with them, on your theory you could say that all RWD cars are crap as you dont know any better, something which the world and its dog knows is nt the case

  2. rear wheel drives will always spin before a front wheel drive you have less weight to hold everything in place or had you forgotten that big heavy lump called an engine in the front of a fwd car. Go drive an old capri in the wet and see what that handles like then say the lex has bad handling.

For what its worth a 1.2 clio handles better than a rover and a lexus is the wet but id rather the rears spin and it oversteer than understeer then tip.

Compare a RWD with a RWD and a FWD with a FWD you cant compare the 2 as they will always hvave different characteristics

If you floored any rear wheel drive (ferrari porche lambo etc etc) you will spin up mid corner does that mean there crap too?

  3. You dont need to run them in they will change sound after a bit though. "Running in" just makes the rubber around the cone a little softer and easier for both you and the amp to move, they will probably get a bit louder over a bit of time and will sound a little different however, no official running in measures are needed for modern speakers

  4. thats probably why the light comes on its looking for the light inside the car and due to the power being re-routed for the spoiler light it doesnt work and pops up a warming you could use a spliter to re-power the inside light giving you the 2 light s an removing the warning light on the dash.

The only thought on the sensor is that the position could be wrong. Get a mate to wave his hand infront of the sensor to see if that makes any difference it could be that the angle of the sensor and it cant detect anything in the way

  5. 1 guy i see most morning along Columbia road heading to bournemouth normally give him a nod or a wave

Another was on saturday parked in the Richmond hill car park 3rd floor between 12ish and 2 when I left, tte bumper lowered with 18's tinted windows

    Either of them you?

  6. The alternator spins regardless of load so in theory having electric stuff on shouldnt make any difference as your already generating the power, for example you can play the radio have heated seats and demist your rear window with the engine off and no fuel being consumed as its off the Battery, The aircon however doesnt work without the engine running as its only power is off the belt which only spins off the engine.

On that basis air con is driven and puts more load on the engine so you loose mpg however as the alt runs at 14.4v anyway an produces the power regardless of load, (rpm is the only exception as it doesnt spin to its full capacity when on tick over) swiching on your leccy toys shouldnt make any difference

  7. Errm just by a length a 4 guage good quality car audio cable to your size add a couple of ring connectors and attach 1 to Battery and one to engine.

If you really want to go the whole hog do whats known, in the audio business, as the big 3 (TB3)

    Upgrading

alt to + on the Battery

    Battery - to chassis

    engine to chassis

doing this with something like 4 or even 0 guage cabling and a few ring terminals will make a world of difference

If ou really wanted I could make up some batch kits to do all 3 bits for less than 40 quid I expect starting will be improved as would gerneral running performance hey I could even eBay them saying it gives 350+ bhp improvement and helps fuel consumption
