As per the title, I need a rear passenger side light fitting for my 52 plate (2003) IS200 Sport. I have been quoted £69.03 + VAT by my Lexus Centre but I'm hoping I can do better second hand. PM or reply if you can help. Many thanks!

I'm really not having much luck at the moment. After my IS200 was keyed a couple of months back, I took it to my local bodyshop who got it looking like new for £375+VAT. I was as pleased (as I could be)... Until a girl friend opened the rear door on the passenger side a couple of days later and bent the trim which had been stuck back a few millimetres too far towards the front passenger door. Although it was a pain, I didn't think it would be a big problem since it was clearly the bodyshops fault. And it wouldn't have been - except that the company was dissolved pretty much immediately after completing the job! I've pulled this bit of trim off to stop it being damaged any more but there's visible stress marks in the paint and I'm thinking it would be better to replace it. It was only stuck on with a double sided foam-type tape so if I can source the part then it should be a pretty easy fix, even for me. I've had a look on eBay and can't see anything but I may be searching for the wrong thing... should I be looking for an "is200 door trim"? How much should I expect to pay? My IS200 is the nice gunmetal grey colour which I believe Lexus calls "Granite Sky". Comments greatly appreciated.

2003/52 plate, 54k miles Someone keyed it last night, all the way down the passenger side. All 4 panels plus the fuel cap door. My local bodyshop has quoted £375+VAT, or £350 excess to get in done through Direct Line.

Just bought a pair of batteries for £2.89 from eBay to replace the dead one I've been squeezing the last bit out of for weeks. I have to put it right up to the windscreen to get it to work. When I put the key in the drivers door and try to unlock it though, the alarm goes off and the only way I've found to stop it is to use the remote. Is it meant to do that?

Granite sky (dark grey). It's standard spec, no mods or anything special. Not very interesting really I'm afraid. Sorry the picture's so bad but it was taken on my phone in the drizzle with cold shakey hands :D Widmer End, next to Hazlemere. I work from home so I'm rarely on the road at rush hour.

Hello people; nice community you have here. My first car was a Mk5 Ford Escort, which I wrapped around a telegraph pole in the ice after 12 months. This was quickly replaced with a Mk4 Escort, only for someone to go into the back of me on the M1 in November 06. I bought a 2003 (52 plate) IS200 Sport a couple of weeks ago and so far I'm very impressed. I also looked at an Alfa 156 and a BMW M3 but I think I made the right choice. I have a couple of queries I hope someone can help me with, I'll post in the IS200 forum shortly.
