Could you reccomend where fo get them from and what would be the best model of plug to get to get the best spark. I though bosch super 4 were v good as they gave 4 sparks!! any sugestions? -
I read somewhere that if I put bosch plugs in the car wont work. It needs the standard make? is this true? Also does anyone know what will give the best performance and life? Thats why thought Busch super 4?

Hi guyes, Spark plugs on a GS300 MK1. Halfords can provide champion and bosch plugs. What would everyone recommend I use when changing? Stick with Lexus at £12 each? Buy 2 packs of 4 from halfords for £30 total? Ebay? Internet?? What would be the best plugs to upgrade to? Bosch super 4?? I had them before on a different car and they were great??

whats the best way to read my error codes? Does anyone live around Guildford who could check them for free? I am getting v poor MPG and dont know if it is O2 Sensors, air filter, spark plugs, or something else HELP!!

:-( I do 22 mile to work and 22 mile home. Motorway (m3). Average speed is usual about 40-50mph. Currently I get between 18 and 21 MPG. Total about 280-300 to a tank... I have check the two front o2 sensors and I there resistance is ok. Is it work replacing them anyway? Any ideas any one?? please???

Does anyone know how the stereo cd and amp link up in the MK1? Does the cd music signal go to the head unit and the back out to the amp, and thus the stereo controls the volume directly? Or does the cd go straight into the amp and the stereo controls the volume remotly? any help would be great. Also anybody know where I can find these music signal wires???

I have just checked again and the resistance has dropped to about 13.4 ohms. Does that mean that they are not faulty? Or could the heating elements have gone? Or maybe they need a clean!! any ideas?

OK just tested the resistance of the 2 front sensors. 14.1 on both. They might have been a little warmer that 20oC i left my car for about 1hr to cool. Does this mean they dont need replacing?? I still get rubbish MPG. i get like 280 max in a tank!!!! thats with motorway driving and optimax!!! help!!!!!!

The sensors have 4 wire. Which 2 do I measure the resistanec across? THe two heater or the singal and ground? Also should they be plugged in whilst doing this? Car Running or off??

Hopefully the Sony Eric HCB-300 Will the wiring still be there like in the manual. It describes there is a cable that would unplug and plug the telephone system into both bits. Possibly these wires could just be spliced into for the speakers??? CHeers

for the price difference I can get the full kit from the US or the K&N apollo. Is it worth getting an inclosed cone?? Or would some heat shielding do the trick?

Here is another wiring diagram that might help. By the looks of it all the wiring is there for a car kit (e.g. bluetooth) to splice into and use the back speaker.. what do we think

I have an idea. Would it be possible to wire in an input e.g. a 3.5mm jack in this diagram? Then have a silent CD on repeat. Thus an input for your IPOD!!! would this work? Feedback please!!!

I have been looking at the telephone kit in the PDF manual for the GS300 MK1. Is this still available from Lexus? Anyone know prices? or can i get one from the US. :winky: Also what phones will it work with? Could this telephone port be used with a bluetooth car kit and a bit of clever wiring to go through the speakers. I have attached the wiring diagram for it. Any ideas??

I am planning on buying a bluetooth car kit. There are leads so that the sounds goes through the existing speakers whilst muting the Stereo. So here is my questions: Does the MK1 GS300 have a telephone mute wire?? Is it possible to buy a converter to convert the Lexus Loom to standard ISO and then buy the reverse to plug back into the stereo and thus meaning I do not have to cut wires.?

We have an HKS SPF in stock which is £182.13 inc vat Is that an enclosed filter? Do you sell a replacment panel filter too (i saw a blitz one on your site) We offer, HKS, K&N and Blitz :) Are they enclosed? or just a cone?? you you add a picture ??? or point me in the direction of one?

Has anyone sucsesfully installed an Air induction kit into a MK1 GS300. I was planning on somthing like a Quikshift Taipan if i can get on to fit... Can anyone point me in the right direction of one that is enclosed. There is no point having an open cone cos it will most likley suck in more hot air than cold. CHeers

I have a GS300 MK1. I have to be really careful when coming of roundabouts as if i push the accelerator to much the back end flys out!!! Is this normal?? I have 235/45 17Y P Zeros They have plenty of grip on them. Any Ideas?? I know getting 18" deep dish at the back would maybe help but I dont have the £££ at the mo. Cheers all./ Kryz

What do I do. I have seen on www.o2sensors.com a set of 3 sensors for my MK1 GS300 will cost about €300. I could get Universal ones for less. Does it matter on make? If i get cheaper universal one will they last as long?? Any ideas out there?
