Had a similar problem wiv my last car, had an electric arial that wudnt fully open or go down. simple solution wen its open as much but not fully grab it from the base an a simple tug to fully open it then simply cleaned the whole arial with a cloth and wd40, always did the trick, i guess it was jus dirt or so. worth a try. ps be careful not 2 bend the arial wen tuggin it slowly.

  8. No a easy job at all :duh: the harness from 2000 car will not be the same for your 2003 car :duh: Someone has done it mine, had to take everything out of the car, took him 2 weeks i think, and he did have all the right parts from the same year cars too i spoke to the parts at the dealer earlier and they said there was a slight difference among the two, could the loom be completed using the the original 1 thats already there? could the dealer do it? Yes a dealer could do it, but im sure it will cost ££££s to do, if they even take on the job, the lexus sat/nav is not that good anyway :o you would be better spending on sat/nav and using your screen that you have, some members have done this B4. saving money great, but a little confused. if i purchase a sat nav from any retailer are u saying i can connect it to the head console and use that screen? how would i do the connection and would the motorised mechanism work? would i need a new loom As i have said some have done this Fargo + Anees + Scarface are some that have done this B4, dont have to change your loom as i think its 2/3 wires that make your m/housing work :D sounds beter and cheaper will contact them and take it from there. thanx
