  1. This must just be a nack thing as i have noticed this prob on my car although i just move it about till it starts filling up!
  2. Welcome mate and yes i remember that feeling when you test drive other cars and then you get in the Lexus and it all just feels sooooo right....... Congrats!!
  3. That is beautiful!!! Simply stunning!!! Love the finish and just the subtle touches that youve done like the debadge and the pedals!!! By the way where do you get them as id love to get a set on mine!!!
  4. I did the wash, clay, scratch-x and application of polish by hand and used a buffer to remove the wax and buff it up as i always find i get some streaky marks by hand and it worked really well!!! It was a £30 buffer from Halfords!!! So the majority was by hand it was just the final step which i used a buffer for! Thanks for the comments guys and yeah feel very proud of my handy work as it was a day well spent and pleased i saved a few hundred pounds!!! What do people use to clean their engine bay?!?!?
  5. I personally really like the ball, never liked ball gear knobs till i got my Lex!! As Stav said most will fit just a case of getting the right size sleeve.......
  6. As promised guys here are a few daytime shots from today!! Still nice and clean although the engine bay still needs a clean and wax!! :D Favorite of the day
  7. If theres any way around it DONT get cheapest tyres about as theres normally a reason for them being so cheap!................. .......as a motorcyclist tyres matter more than anything and the importance of tyres can sometime be forgotten on cars. Out of the 3 choices i'd say Toyo's as they are good tyres and offer loads of grip!!! Plus i had them on an old Toyota of mine and they lastest really well too!!! :D
  8. Cheers guys and yeah i'll bust out the camera and get some more snaps tomorrow when its not so dark!!! Will hopefully get the number plates and number plate lights done!! Might finish it off and clean under the bonnet too as thats the only place thats left now!!!! lol.........Its a weekend mission to get the car gleaming and pleased so far just feeling shattered!!! Its a well deserved Corona sitting next to me, me thinks!!!!
  9. Hi guys, I dont know how many people saw but posted in the car care and detailing section about me thinking about getting a Paint correction and full detail done on my IS200. I thought as i have almost every product Meguairs make i really should put them to use, save myself some money and enjoy a nice sunny day............so i did!!!! 8 and a half hours, a can of red bull and a can of relentless later and i managed to get all this done: - Full Wash - Clay and speed detail - Scratch-x and buff - Full wax and polish and final buff - Polished the exhaust tip - Glass cleaned inside and out - Removed all wheels - Cleaned and waxed each wheel inside and out - Cleaned arches and suspension arms - Cleaned brakes and calipers - Hoovered inside - Cleaned and conditioned the leather seats - cleaned dash. And heres the result............was dark by the time i finished but shows the shine well!!!!..................What you think??? I had bought Silvertech side repeater bulbs but the dam casings have the orange bit in not the bulbs...............considering trying to get the orange bit out so i can fit the bulbs in... Also got some LED lights for my number plate but was too dark to see what i was doing to try and fit them so will do that when i get some new plates!! And some arty long distance ones

  11. I was going to swap to T1-Rs a while ago but were advised by the tyre company that they could get them but the bridgestones that come on the car as stock are designed for the car............ .........dont know how true that is thought?!?!?
  12. Nice one mate!!! Looks like theres some good modding going on there!! Defo colour code that camera though!! Whats the plans for the bodywork?? Kit??
  13. Cool cool thank you!!! I think i might take one out have a look and then head up halfords tomorrow was just trying to preplan any probs i might come up against.........apart from the weather! lol..............
  14. Thank you!!!! Now to ask a really stupid question but is there any specific type of bulb i need or will any with the same connector do??
  15. cool cool i'll have to have a search about then and see if i can find it!!! :zee:
  16. So how do i go about doing it and what bulbs do i need??? Anyone got any pics of the result??
  17. Wozza!!!!!!!...................................Whats the deal on it then matey!!!!!
  18. Well the place im looking at is from £350 for full works and paint correction and are going to spend about 3 days on it!!! I didnt think that was too bad as they would go to the effort of taking the wheels off to clean them all inside and out and clean out the arches etc..... I am still torn as i love cleaning my car but for the level of cleaning that they would go too it seems like it would be money well spent...im still torn......think im just going to have to say sod it and go for it as otherwise im just gona umm and arrr about about it and never get anything done! Especially with winter rolling in I want the wheels protected as i know how bad Lexus wheels corrode and bubble if they arent well cared for through winter!
  19. Hi all, Now im sorry if this is a repost......... Recently ive seen a few IS250's driving around and they have what looks to be almost an ice white/xenon rear number plate light and thought it was a nice touch.........nothing to major just a nice touch. .........has anyone changed these lights on their IS and does anyone know what sort of lamp id need to buy to do this and still be legal! Many Thanks.
