Am i right in thinking that the old wheels are Volk TE37's??? Thought they werent the right fitment for the IS??? Personally i say Volks, but thats just me.....

£60 difference mate! Bennetts is where I got both my policies from ............... the jump from the R6 to the R1 may only seem small on paper, but it's phonomanel (sp?) in actual riding!! Do it.......... you know you want to ! lol try ebikeinsurance.co.uk! Only £60 difference!!!!! Is that all.............I will defininitely look into it then!! I dont understand insurance as when i was looking for a 600 a year and a bit ago i got a quote for a CBR600rr......£900tpft...........same everything quote for the R6............£500...........so i thought sod that and got the R6. I think i will wait until the end of the year and see about getting the R1 as the new model will be out and will then touch wood have another years NCB to make 3yrs and i'll be 24 so should help on the quote front! Do you find the R1 as flickable in the corners as i love how manoverable the R6 is but then again if you look at the pic it does look quite a small bike with me on it!!! Doesnt help im over 6ft on a 600!!! lol.....

Seems like we've got a nice bunch of bikes on here!!! This is my old mans new toy!! If you look closely you can see his other toy in the background of the top pic!!! He's got a 2007 Aprillia Tuono R and a 2001 Honda VFR800... Ahmet..........did you find that the insurance jumped up a lot when changing from an R6 to the R1 as i am considering looking into a 2007 model R1 in white and red....mmmmm.......(dribbles a bit) lol......

Here are the pics so far and before anyone tries to catch me out i am aware that the carbon swing arm boot protector and carbon hugger arent on but that is becuase they werent fitted before i took the pics, will take some more tonight!!

Snap! That bike is identical to mine.... apart from the can and the wheel stripes that is. Even got the same double-bubble on it! Cool cool, yeah thats my other toy!!! lol.....Goes like stink and amazing around a track too!!!!

Sorry to see the Lexus go but i can sympathise with the hatchbatch lust and with all those extras its a purchase that shouldnt be missed!!! Very nice car indeed! =]

I use near enough everything!!! lol....... If you just want a basic stuff i'd go for their tech wax car shampoo, tech wax, glass cleaner and tyre shine gel. Ive got all the extra's like the gold class clay, strach-x remover, metal polish.........the list goes on!! Got a nice meguiars bag to carry it all in too from one of the competions i won! =] You can get it from all good car shops, halfords or even from meguiars website!!! They arent cheap but the results speak for themselves!

Might pop along to this as its not toooo far from me but will see what the weather man is bringing us nearer the tmie me thinks!

I swear my meguiars and have used quite a few cleaning products on my ols show cars but meguiars was just so easy to use and brings the lex up a treat! This was after just a wash and quick detail!!!! And this is what it did to my bike!!!

That doesnt sound too bad for a service and cambelt!!! I paid about than that for it to be done on my old Toyota Paseo's!!!!

Thats all i had done!!!! The rears didnt need replacing it was just the front discs and pads. Thats why i thought it was quite a bit!!!!

Hi all, Well it was noted that the discs and pads would need changing at the MOT as Lexus do their check over it and yesterday Lexus Ipswich came and picked it up, drove it, got it covered in c*&p off the road (as i keep it under a cover so was sparkling) didnt clean it and brought it back. However in order for them to bring it back they wanted money and to be quite honest i think blood would be more appropriate as £360 seems a mad price!!! Has anyone else paid this sort of money and is it me just being tight or this quite high!!?? However, i cant complain as if i didnt do it the car would have never stopped but still!! Matt

I know these guys from when i was doing the shows in my Toyota and they are good lads and their work is good quality, all kits will need work it would be almost impossible to find a kit that goes straight on, just doesnt happen! But if you have time on your hands and are quite handy with a few tools can be really satisfying to get stuck in! =]

If found i get about 350 miles per tank but i am luck in that most of that is motorway driving so i can set the cruise control and enjoy the ride! Should try it without the air con to really try and make a difference! Hey at the end of the day the lexus is a luxury car so wants to be pampered with large helpings of petrol!!! lol......except i htink my wallet would beg to differ!!! lol........

Looking good mate, i like it!! How long did it take for the pain to dry on the calipers then?!?!? Am thinking about doing mine but going to wait till the weather gets better now! Nice colour too!!! Like that as a colour!! Matt

My car is coming upto 30k and its on its 2nd set of tyres (wheels and tyres were brand new when i bought the car in march on 15k) and needs a new set of pads pretty dam quick as it was picked up on the MOT that they would need doing at the next service...... .....My geo needs doing so i dont expect large amounts of miles out the bridgestones that are on there! :(

Most car shops, halfords definately do it! Its not too cheap but always good results and easy to use!

Mines a 200 got full leather though??!?!?! lol........ I wouldnt say its blisteringly quick but its comfortably quick, its very usable on the roads and a very enjoyable drive! :winky:
