  1. HI, Been running mine on lpg for about 2 years now and things to look out for or ask the installer is:- 1. what type and make is the kit (best use the Italian makes and insist on a multipoint system – no loss of power). 2. insist on having Flash Lube installed (very easy and cheap to do ( you can pick one of fleebay for around £80 inc. flashlube bottle) 3. make sure you can have it checked out and diagnostics read (your engine light will start to flash – once you have it read you will now what’s at fault and how to rectify the problem) in my case its just saying fuel mixure to leane or rich, which is to do with the gas. 4. I recommend a spare wheel tank (it sits in your spare wheel well) and just keep the spare wheel in the boot (takes up less space than a cylinder tanks and more capacity). Good luck and hope you will keep on Lexing (its fast becoming clear that going gas is the easiest way to keep running the lexus) :winky: if you have any questions just ask. :) Dibslpg Hi, Thanks for your post. I am thinking of going with these guys - http://www.gaspoweruk.co.uk/ It is a little dearer than other places but they are only 10 mins from where I work so servicing and any problems can be sorted easily. He is going to put a BRC phase sequential system on. I asked about the flashlube and he said he'd throw it in for me :winky: We are going for the spare wheel tank. He said that the new systems don't have the same problems with the ECUs as in older systems so the point 3 you made is sorted now. Any thing else I should know? I'm planing to book her in so any of you guys thinking about it can have a look when I bring her to JAE! :D x
  2. Re buying the gas, there's not much of an issue down here. Having said that, alot of places that sell lpg are not big garages, just smaller suppliers. Maybe you would find the same thing in your areas? x
  3. I'm taking the leap and going for gas! Petrol prices have just become ridiculous and I was about to sell my baby and go for a diesel Then I heard about gas and the money I'll save on running will pay for the conversion in 16 months! (Lol. Just read that back and I sound like a cheesy tv commercial! ) Just thought I'd post on here to see if any of you guys have done it, or any questions you think I should ask the garage before I get it done. :D
  4. I would love to help you but alas I have no idea. I hope you get it sorted tho! :)
  5. Thank you gents. I still have the badge from the original grille, I'm just loathed to rip it off incase we ever want to swap back again. Maybe I should try one of the cheepies. The snob in me doesn't want a plastic badge tho I know. If that's the case I've gotta get the real deal, just would be good if there was a middle option. Hehe, I don't want much... anyone got me the moon on a stick yet?? :winky:
  6. Hehe, I'm double booked, so I'm not even going now! oops!
  7. Thanks John :) Are the £3.99 ones any good?? Seems crazy that the price is sooo much different! Lol! I know, one minute it's too dear, the next too cheep. Sorry!
  8. Anyone going? :D More details on www.djcc.co.ur
  9. I will lend a helping hand so long as it's not heavy lifting! Hehe :)
  10. Actually, now I think of it, anyone know where I can get a new badge from? Lexus say they are between £30 and £60? Seems a bit steep? Or am I being tight??
  11. Sorry hun, I wasn't being cheeky! I was thinking about going and wondered if anyone else was! I don't think there is a large south west contingent on here! x
  12. Are we having the Lexus Village stand (or whatever it was called) again this year?
  13. Hmmmmm, You offering Baz?? :winky: i take the bucket of water :winky: I thought you were gonna wear the t-shirt! :winky:
  14. Is anybody planning anything in the south west??? Everything seems to be so far away... I'm down in Devon! :)
  15. Hmmmmm, You offering Baz?? :winky:
  16. I would really appreciate a low down of what's going on when I get there. Technically I'm another virgin, although I did buy tickets last time! Just got a bit wet on the way and never actually made it! Lol! Also wanna know who is who! I like the idea of badges for the cars... would we look a bit sad in t-shirts?
  17. Hahahaha Gotta love it. How about just holding up the fingers without putting it on yr forehead?? Hehe. Thanks for the giggle. I'd like it if somebody waved at me! :) x
  18. Thanks for the tip. I will get hubby onto it straight away! hehehe. Oh, wait, he's got to finish decorating the living room first! Lol. Ours is currently awaiting a badge... hope nobody thinks it's a merc! Eeek!
  19. Sorry to hear about the car. It's the parents' fault. Little sods. We get it in our carpark, the sign says no ball games but the amount of times our car gets hit. Gets me very angry. grrrrr.
  20. Hiya, no we didn;t put an extra lacquer on cause the paint was supposed to include the lacquer already so was unsure about adding extra. The bad thing with this is not just stone chips, the paint seems to just be coming off all over the crisscross grille part. The surround is fine. Also thnks for pointing out theat grille is spelled with an 'e'. I knew it didn;t look right! haha
  21. cool. keep in touch and we'll see. if you are away then best of British hun x
  22. Well after our experience last year when we never even got to see you guys we are def up for JAE this year ! At least we don't have to go via Gloucestershire this time! LoL ! Anyone coming up fro the south west??
