  1. Ask Yemgi how he got hold of his, he has said something to do with the HKS FCON, Do you have the FCON fitted Yes I have the FCON fitted so hopefully the data should be there only thing is the car battery has died so i'm worried this may have wiped the data from my ecu and FCON? Cho can you tell me what the size of your pulley is If you look at your charger, it has pulley at the front, not this one, look where the belt is going, it should go down to another pulley, it will look new. Can you tell me what size it is, eg the diameter, just to give you some indication the standard one is 130mm across. Looks to be roughly 150mm

  3. Quite right Gord, I am trying my best to get this info from TDI but they are unsure as to whether they have it?!?
  4. Thanks a lot mate, really appreciate it.
  5. Can anyone recommend an Independent Engineer?
  6. The Fly break horsepower as stated by Lexus for a standard is200 is 153 BHP
  7. The car was producing about 191 at the Fly with standard TTE setup. I had the car serviced at TDI and they diagnosed a slipping belt as the cause. This was fixed before the dyno run where the car produced 191 at the fly. After the stage 1 mods the car produced approx. 243 @ the Fly. TTE state the the supercharger takes power at the fly to 205BHP, so I thought there was a an adequate gain.
  8. Yes I have the charts but not with me at the moment, the same dyno was used both times. I don't know if the A/F is on the charts but there is extra info on the back and TDI are also sending me the full mapping output for my car from the dyno.
  9. Amazing project, it's good to see people pushing the boundaries
  10. Did you have a pre work dyno and a post work dyno ? I say that as Lee's car is bog standard IS2 TTE s/c and was dyno'd on the same dyno as yours Yes I did, the car was running about 153 hp at the hubs before the upgrade.
  11. That torque increase was also substantial it made a massive difference to the car
  12. I gained over 40 hp at the Hubs from the work done
  13. I want my car to be reliable and fast. I am willing to take my time getting there as the last thing I want is for this to happen again
  14. I guess your right mate the thing is I had the car from new and its just hard to believe that having done 69k in it everything was fine and having done in the region of 500 after the stage 1 it died on me. You are right though, it may have been a week rod but that just leaves me with a 1.5 ton paper weight sitting on my drive way.
  15. Thanks Stav, TDI are sending me the full map by CD today so this sould be helpfull, they have been co-operative
  16. I was wondering how useful an engineers report is going to be in identifying where the blame lies for the thrown rod in my engine. It seems clear to me after some consideration that surely if there was no problem ever with my car before undergoing the stage 1 conversion it is obvious that it is down to the work carried out being outside the safe limits of my engine. TDI clearly state that a 1G-FE engine can handle 0.5 bar of boost without the need for forged internals and furthermore they only recommend this as part of any further upgrade e.g. stage 2. I don’t believe my engine would have suffered the same fate had I left the car running the standard TTE setup. A company like TTE would have extensively tested there product and it would have been well within the safe limits of the engine. However I don't feel that the TDI upgrade could have been tested to the same level. Surely then it is quite clear that TDI should take some sort of responsibility for the damage. Do I really need to go to the extra expense of having and engineers report done and all the other associated costs?
  17. It's comforting to here that TDI will stand by there clients and I would like to thank him for these reassuring comments
  18. Thanks mate, the whole thing has really dented my confidence in the tuning scene but I only hope that I can afford to get her back on the road.
  19. Cruising...... or spirited driving Mat I had 2 passengers and a car full to the brim with luggage. I was going at speed but I have hit faster speeds without the supercharger!
  20. This is how she should be looking soon I hope!
  21. I guess I will wait and see what the independent inspection reveals. It may have nothing to do with TDI so I just want to keep things neutral for now guys, I really appreciate your comments and support.
  22. By the way stav the car looks great
  23. I guess that's just another kick in the nuts then...
