  1. Yes that was mine I dont have the power graph with me but I think she was putting out roughly 195 BHP at the wheels and 178 lb of torque Don't mean to make you feel worse but Lee_icemans made 188 bhp at the wheels at the TDI-PLC rolling road and its a bog standard TTE supercharged car............ But that would be in the region of 235 at the fly surely that cant be right?

  3. Yes it was, I was supposed to collect it that day but there was a major delay with the injectors and TDI did not provide a courtesy car untill the following week I have a spare std engine 2 1g-gte engines and a 1g-fe with steel rods/forged pistons which may help. Steve has the 1g-fe and a 1g-gte @ charlesworth and if you want I can sort something out for you. Drop me a PM if you want will do my best for you You will need the code from Tdi for the FCON as I'd not be happy using the current map so would take it to another pwoerwriter to get a decent map done I may be interested in the 1G-FE with forged internals, the thing is I am totally broke at the moment. I appreciate it very much though. Will drop you a pm. I thought that TDI would have kept the boost well within safe limits so never asked them!!
  4. I'm not sure what boost it was running but it should have been about .5 bar

  6. That doesn't seem right to me? What do you mean by stage one upgrade? Just a pully or pulley/injectors/ and ecu? Sounds to my humble opinion like if it had an ecu map it wasnt right to have the lights on? Or underfuelling if it didnt have a map? Stav I had the stage 1 pulley, katana manifold, katana intercooler, larger injectors, FCon V-pro, Camcon, closed loop feedback system, LCP
  7. The car had only been serviced about 700 miles earlier it had 71k on the clock, Im going to have an independent assessor have a look and see what he thinks. At this time I have spoke to TDI and they dont believe it is down to them. I did have problems with the idling and engine management light was permenantly on shortly after collecting the car. Also the trac contol light was flashing on and off. I informed TDI of this but I was told there was nothing to worry about
  8. Hi guys, been a long time since I have been on the forum and I come with tidings of woe. I recently had the stage 1 s/c upgrade done on my car at TDI and after having done less than 1000 miles have had catastrophic engine failure. Whilst cruising down the motorway I have had a rod snap and now have a slightly larger than a golf ball size hole in my engine. Suffice to say that my engine is dead. I just spent in the region of 5.5k for this upgrade and I am devestated.
  9. Hi, I had the exact same problem, the best thing to do is to add some oil or grease, I found that the spring was grinding against the washer and getting stuck. Added some grease and it's fine now. cho
  10. I love the look of this car, deffinately one of the best examples on the road.
  11. it wouldnt stick open it would stick closed - if it was stuck open then there is something seriously wrong. mine stuck closed once but i treated the bypass flapper and components (thats why its grey in the pic) and its been silky smooth ever since. Have look where the arm of the bypass travels - has it scraped along the machined aluminium surface below it? when you tightened the nut how did you stop the bypass shaft from turning? when you looked at the bypass and saw it was stuck closed how easy was it to move the levr to get it to open there are 3 possible positions to put the end of the spring ( the dog leg end) where is yours? Look at the pic mine is in the middle Hi i think i sorted it, the spring was scraping against the washer and this was causing the bypas to remain open as the spring was not pushing the bypass closed. I have installed it exactly the same as in the pic.
  12. Just drove on the motorway with the new spring installed and it jammed with the bypass open, has anyone had the same problem?
  13. Looking at the pic yemgi put up, his is a lot more slack than mine.
  14. Yes the movement is totally smooth when I move it by hand, I dont know if it did the same thing with the old spring and I deffinately havent touched anything else. The cable on bypass is pretty slack though, could it be that?
  15. Thanks to the picture and that little guide I have managed to install my spring. Only thing is when I reach high revs the bypass snaps shut 3/4 of the way but then sticks and closes slowly for the last 1/4. Is this normal??
  16. hi there, when you say spring i guess your talking about suspension? Well I emailed TTE for a new spring for my supercharger and it arrived yesterday but it is not quite what I expected, so not too sure how to go about fitting it to the supercharger.
  17. Does anyone know how to install a new TTE spring?
  18. Hi I would like too book an appointment. When do you next have a weekend slot available I need to get coilovers installed?
  19. Not had a chance to get anything sorted yet. Just started a new job down in London so haven't had a chance. I have two pic which I took on my phone, you can see them iff you click on my avatar
  20. I'm sure I could it 40 at one point or was I dreaming?? Just wandering what you guys are able to get out of 1st gear from standing. On a s/c is200 no other mods? Cho
  21. @ adie, thanks mate if these guys cant sort it I will take you up on that
  22. @ Kazi I would really appreciate it if you could have a word these guys, i am really dissapointed paid £900 for all the work I had done, also realised that they damaged my water hose for the windscreen washers, it is now leaking! @ Jamie no it wasn't Jamie Shaws Will try and get these guys to re-do the work otherwise I will have to take this as a very costly lesson.
