  8. well as the wife just started here new job 3 months ago, we had an old pig of a car, ( you know the car the one that you have to fix each week lol ) so with that she said she wanted a new'er car, so we had seen an IS200 02 plate 45K in GOLD with FSH for just 5.3K and it came with a years TAX on it :) very nice all round, as it comes with some bits that my 2000 plate IS200 dont have
  9. been at abbey for around 6 months or so. it started as a side deal to keep costs down. not had the car myself since january. lots of various excuses and a major headache not being given the f-con password code plus one of the terminals for the reader had been broken. have given a deadline to the other garage (rgs) this week of a couple of weeks. finished or not its beyond a joke for over 10months for what should be a days mapping. Think Abbey are struggling with the pin outs from the ECU. Myself & Bazza are trying to locate the Lexus manual I had with this data............last seen with marcus. @ Adie try PMing marcus he's rejoined as memon or something I also may have it on a pdf which I'm trying to find problem is it doesnt have a name just numbers and there are hundreds of them sorry to hear this Ad, :( IS200 CD on ebay have all you need on them to take the car apart and put back, as well as the wiring pin/outs....the cost is about £6 @Dave................i returned that IS manual a very long time ago, think you fined, Tony was the last guy to have it...as thats why i had to return it! so he could use it for one of your cars But any way like i said you can get a CD on Ebay, why dont you buy one and have it posted to Abbey ??

WOW what can i say...i am lost for words brett :) top job you have done with this IS and not only is it the best IS i have seen but it all so has the most BHP some 800+ WOW very nice mate, take my hat of to you and every one that helped........ ( now where did i put my tools i must get my V8 IS done lol )

  13. chris.... i feel for you mate, but by the looks of it that can be fixed.... i dont know if you can remember back to when i came of the A2 it cost the ins 7K to fix my car and they did as well :)

Hi all I started my Conversion on my IS200 some months ago to put the 4L V8 1UZ-FE thats in the Lexus LS400 The Engine has done 120,000 miles but then so has my IS200, so i dont only have the engine i have the rest of the car as well to get some bits off. as its been done before........i have get all the info i need, the gearbox is going to take most of the time to do as the LS gearbox is auto and i want to convert it to manual...........i know there are 2 or 3 gearboxs out there that will fit but i will have to swap the bellhousing over for a custom made one, that i will be geting from ThorRacing as for the ECU.........I will be useing the LinksPlus standalone....ECU as for fueling, i will be keeping the std njectors for now. i have all so run new lines from the tank to FPR to fuel rails & return lines dont think i will have to mod the sump like on most Conversion,s on the IS as the sump on the 1UZ-FE sits at the front of the engine so it should fit over the cross member on the IS, the good thing about this swap is that the 1UZ is an all aluminum construction that makes it just as light as the 1G-FE + The Rods are factory forged units, + it has factory forged crank as well. I will be useing the (R154) 5 speed Supra box, once the car is up and running that is, to start with im useing the auto/box from the LS400 ..............some more info to come & pic,s as well :)

Is what i would like to know is why every one is on about the top speed of the IS when, the only place you can do that speed is on a trackday? i for one would not want to do that speed in a std lexus with no mod's any way, + how many of you have seen a track in your lexus, and if you have! how many times would you go to a track in a year 1 or 2 times, i for 1 would like a beter 0-60 time, you can keep the top speed just give me a 3-4 sec 0-60 time then i would be happy :)
  22. if i was you i would forget it mate, as this is what i looked into doing before i went with the turbo setup, you would be best puting a turbo on your IS as the bits do not work out that much to buy, i think the one item that would cost the most would be the manifold ( ie' custom made one ) i put a turbo on my IS 3 years ago and i did it by buying it bit by bit and when i had it all i fitted it, worked out about £1,200 :)
  23. I would have to say top speed is not my thing, but how quick i could get to (lets say 0-70mph) as thats the law, 4 to 5 sec i would be more happy with that :)
