  1. Not too long after getting my cambelt and the likes done last year my car started to randomly cut out...very rarely tho, it done it a few times then never done it again for ageees so i never really thought much of it. Recently its been happening more often, sometimes it will cut out when idleing and other times when im driving along and i go over a bump or a small pothole it will miss a beat and the power will die, sometimes for a few seconds, sometimes long enough that i have to pull over to a stop and start it again. The roads around here are diabolical and its getting a bit of a c**t to drive with my car wanting to die everytime i go over a rough patch. I hate driving around here as my car is very stiff and the roads are a mess. After fiddling with a diagnostics machine and checking the code online it seems like it is the "crankshaft position sensor"..does this sound like the case to some of u guys with more knowledge than me? And if so, what kind of money am i looking at for a new1? I just want my car back to normal so i dnt have to worry about cutting out everytime i go over a bit uneven road Thanks in advance
  2. I like tht interior mate, looks v nice :) like everyone says u must be running out of things 2 do lol
  3. Thanks for the replies guys, ill have a fiddle with it over the next few days I'll keep u in mind mate and be sure not to discard it before giving u a shout Just noticed u are in Japan... Can u get hold of foglights for the Legana bumper? 1 of mines is dead and needs replaced but the only place i can find with a decent set is the US and its fairly pricey Thanks
  4. Having owned my Altezza for nearly 3years iv been impressed that my cd players never died on me after reading countless posts about peoples headunits dying on them..however last night when going to take a cd out, IT DIED :( Now i have 6 cd's stuck in a headunit that doesnt work now....Looks like im gonna be stuck with the radio for the forseebale future
  5. They would fit mate, I am quite sure, however I would go for the TRD stuff at even cheaper price if not the same and better quality. Do u have a link mate for thr TRD bushes?
  6. Very nice mate, respect to ut wife for standing outside for u in -4 lol
  7. I have a set of brand new standard rear discs and new mintex pads if ur intrested
  8. That looks mean m8, i love that :D Is that ur power steering thingymaboab you have moved in the 2nd pic up? My powersteering fluid keeps overheating when im drifting, does it keep it cooler up there?
  9. Moderators Note Only gold members are entitled to offer items for sale Sorry
  10. My radio is fine as i fitted a band expander thingymabob, i was hoping the Tv issue would be the same, i fancy a double din headunit with built in digital Tv and the likes but there costly
  11. My car has the built in Japanese sat-nav which obviously is no use to me, it also has a "TV" button , i presume this worked fine in Japan but over here it only picks up snowy channels (and the odd sound) Is there a way i can get this to pick up channels over here? There seems to be a place that can do this but im wondering is there any DIY route i can take http://soarer.tv/jap-imports-sva/Toyota-Al...-Conversion.htm
  12. It does sit slightly lower than it did, its the best i could get it as it needed some custom fabrication as it snapped off and split the seam of the pipe behind the back box, some of the pipe was also flattend so had to be replaced
  13. Iv been on the hunt on ebay and the likes too but they all seem to be from similar suppliers Any ideas where to hunt for a decent dvd/dvb-t player? preferably a double din? Im not interested in the GPS functions
  14. What did u find wrong with it stav? Iv always been wary of such equipment made with no names on it but it does look apealing tho.
  15. Its been a while since i posted my car up, at a driftday a few months ago i done a boo-boo on a very fast corner, i came to a stop in some tyres after the barriers failed to stop me, considering the speed i was carrying and what i hit i was let off quite lightly i reckon Rear Bumper Rear TRD lip Some people said i was crazy but i didnt let it stop me After a few weeks i managed to get holf of a second hand rear bumper that needed a repair as it has acid down 1 side of it I also nearly gave up on finding a replacement TRD rear lip until ORMI was able to get hold of a brand new one for a decent price (Cheers again dude) So after having the parts repaired and replaced i got it all stuck back together and im happy with it again :) I was worried about fitting my parts incase the colour match was night and day but its spot on B) The only thing i have left to fit is my driver side sideskirt, iv been having trouble sourcing a rubber seal for it as there unavailabe from anywhere unless u buy TRD skirts as far as im aware. After annoying a Toyota partsman for long enough we ordered a similar looking seal from japan (part No- 76925-13010-CO) which i believe is from some sort of corolla, it is a tad chunkier than the original but it seems as though its the closest im gonna get
  16. WOW!! i like B) (brought up by a quick google search) Get some pics of these up too when u get them fitted mate
  17. My standard headunit is starting to annoy me as it struggles to read CD's pretty much all the time, also the fact i cant find anyway to hook up my Jap nav to work as TV/DVD player, im just going to leave the pop up screen in place as my CAMP system uses this display. However i need to replace my standard headunit and i like the idea of this http://www.chinavasion.com/product_info.ph...h-gps-and-dvbt/ A double din headunit that will double up as a dvd player and i love the idea of having Tv too :) Touchscreen is a nice touch too After reading the description and features i think it will be a good piece of kit, then i wondered if it would be a pig to fit in an Altezza or even if it would work at all as iv read of people having problems with amp bypass cables or something??, but i was quite relieved to read, at the bottom of the page a Review from a guy in Scotland who has installed one in his is200 What are your views on this unit and do u think it will be reasonable enough to install myself?
  18. Sounds good mate, be good to see pics of it when its fitted just out of curiousity, whats "puddle lights"? lol
  19. Heres mines after fitting coilovers, had to raise it slightly tho as my braces kept scraping on speedbumps
  20. Go Yellow I imported mines from Japan as they were as rare as hens teeth where i am, heres mines :) The gold/polished wheels are dead now due to the harsh weather and salt on the roads here but i plan on getting them polished up again soon In_Japan__14_.bmp
  21. I dont think it would look bukier...thinner i would say by the time its been compressed against the car/skirt....which if that is the case then just double the thickness of the tape up. Ill see what i can do and try get some pics up when its done hopefully i can find somewhere with similar/same rubber seals 1st tho lol
  22. Iv got tht no problem my main concern is it looking the same as it did before it came off, im picking up my sideskirt and bumper tomorow morning but dont think ill have time to fit them until tomorow evening. Im worried that the sideskirt that is still on is neat and tight and when/if i stick the other one back on with sealer or double sided tape the black line around the sideskirts will be bulkier :S
  23. Iv ordered what seems very similar trim for a corolla sideskirt, doesnt come in until end of the month tho so hopefully i can do something beforehand. I found a site called www.sealsdirect.co.uk but it all seems to be like window seals and sht! There must be something....somewhere, what does everyone who buys 2nd hand sideskirts do?
  24. I took my bumpers and sideskirt off at the weekend and dropped them of to get painted, when taking my sideskirt off the thin rubber seal between the skirt and the body died. Anyone ideas on how/where to get a new one? I imagine its the same as the rubber i got with my new TRD rear lip (Thanks Ormi) but perhaps a bit more lengthy? I called Toyota in dunfermline and Lexus in Edinburgh but none seemed to be able to help over the phone :( Im due to pick up my freshly painted bits in the next couple of days but dont want to put my sideskirt on without the correct seal
  25. Ill see what i can do mate but i doubt it as i dont leave work (edinburgh park) until 6pm, usually get in around 7ish, if i can make it tho ill let uz know before hand
